Pierwszy koncert serii Live Earth na Antarktydzie odbył się 7 lipca 2007 roku w stacji Rothera Research Station.
Na koncercie wystąpiła jedynie grupa Nunatak złożona z członków ekipy badawczej.
Drugim zespołem, który wystąpił na Antarktydzie była Metallica. 8-go grudnia 2013 roku zagrali koncert "Freeze 'em all".Ten koncert uczynił ich jedynym zespołem w historii, który zagrał na wszystkich siedmiu kontynentach.

The 1st series of Live Earth concerts in Antarctica were held on July 7, 2007. The only band to play in the event was Nunatak. The five person this indie rock band is part of a science team investigating climate change and evolutionary biology on Antarctic Peninsula.
Metallica was the second band, which played in Antarctica. They performed a live concert "Freeze 'Em All" on December 8th, 2013. This concert making them the only band in history to play on all 7 continents.

Koncert Metalliki na Antarktydzie musiał być logistycznym horrorem... Jestem ciekaw, jaka grupa techników stała za kulisami tego przedsięwzięcia. Ze względów zawodowych interesuje mnie nagłośnienie imprez i sam znam chyba tylko jedną firmę, która dałaby radę :D
